Kind Words Open Doors There was a young man named Yassin who worked in a small clothing shop in Marrakech. He was known for his smile and the kind way he spoke to people. One day, an elderly man came into the shop and started looking at a traditional Moroccan djellaba. He asked Yassin: “My son, how much is this?” Yassin told him the price, but the man replied: “Honestly, I don’t have enough money.” Yassin could have simply said, “May God help you,” and ended the conversation. But he could see how much the man liked the djellaba. So he told him: “Uncle, take it for what you have. I’ll cover the difference. What matters is that you wear it in good health.” The old man was delighted. He thanked Yassin, prayed for him, and left. A few days later, another man entered the shop and asked: “Which one of you is Yassin?” Yassin replied: “That’s me. Welcome.” The man smiled. “My father bought a djellaba from you and told our whole family how well you treated him. We have a big wedding next week, and we want to buy clothes for the entire family from your shop.” Yassin smiled. That day, he realized that by giving up a little profit, he had gained something much greater. From then on, he always said: “Money may bring a customer once, but kindness can bring them back many times.” Wisdom: Do good without calculating what you will get in return. Kindness often finds its way back to you from a place you never expected.
