There was a girl named Rahaf, known among her friends for always making promises but never keeping them, and for avoiding responsibility.

Every time she would say:
“I promise, this time I’ll change! I’ll commit!”

Her friends would believe her… and then she would back out at the last moment.

One time, they decided to start a small project together. Rahaf said:
“Leave the most important part to me—I’ll take care of it!”

The girls hesitated, but thought maybe this time she had really changed.

Days passed, and everyone finished their part… except Rahaf.

Every time they asked her, she would say:
“It’s almost done… just one small thing left.”

Until the final day, they discovered she hadn’t done anything.

They were put in an embarrassing situation, and the project failed.

One of the girls got angry and said:
“Why are you always like this?!”

Rahaf tried to justify herself:
“I swear, I meant to…”

At that moment, her close friend looked at her and said:
“Rahaf… we’re really tired of your behavior… it’s just like the saying: a dog’s tail can’t be straightened.”

Rahaf went silent.

Not because she was hurt…
but because she realized that this time, no one would believe her.

For the first time, she felt that the problem wasn’t the situations… the problem was her.

The proverb “A dog’s tail can’t be straightened” means:
A person whose behavior is flawed is very hard to change, and even if they try to appear different, they go back to their old ways at the first opportunity.
