الأسد الذي خاف من صورته

يُحكى أنه كان في غابةٍ بعيدة أسدٌ عظيم الشأن، قويّ الصوت، شديد الهيبة، تخشاه جميع الحيوانات.
وكان يظنّ أن الخوف هو الطريق الوحيد للطاعة، فكان يزأر كثيرًا، ويحكم سريعًا، ولا يسمع لأحد.

وكان في الغابة ثعلبٌ ذكي، كثير الملاحظة، يعرف كيف يُخاطب الملوك.
فقال للأسد يومًا:

— “أيها الملك، أنت قوي، ولكن بعض القوة تُطاع، وبعضها تُخيف.”

غضب الأسد وقال:
— “وهل الحكم إلا بالقوة؟”

فقال الثعلب:
— “دعني أُريك نفسك كما يراك غيرك.”

وأحضر مرآة صافية، ووضعها أمام الأسد.
نظر الأسد، فرأى وجهًا مخيفًا، وعينين غاضبتين، وأنيابًا بارزة.
فتراجع خطوة وقال:

— “أهكذا يراني الجميع؟”

قال الثعلب:
— “من نظر إلى نفسه بالقوة فقط، نسي الحكمة.”

سكت الأسد طويلًا، ثم قرر أن يُنصت قبل أن يحكم،
وأن يجعل الزئير آخر الحلول لا أولها.

ومع الأيام، أحبت الحيوانات ملكها،
وصار حكمه أقوى… بلا خوف.

الحكمة:

القوة تُرهب، لكن الحكمة تُبقي الملك

The Lion Who Feared His Own Reflection

Long ago, in a distant forest, there lived a mighty lion—
strong in voice, feared by all animals, and proud of his power.
He believed that fear was the only way to rule,
so he roared often and judged quickly, rarely listening.

Among the animals was a clever fox, known for his wisdom.
One day, the fox said to the lion:

“Your strength makes you feared, my king—but wisdom makes you followed.”

The lion growled,
“Is there any rule without power?”

The fox replied,
“Let me show you how others see you.”

He placed a clear mirror before the lion.
The lion looked and saw a terrifying face—
angry eyes, sharp fangs, and endless rage.

He stepped back and whispered,
“Is this how they see me?”

The fox answered softly,
“Those who see themselves only through power forget wisdom.”

From that day on, the lion listened before judging
and used strength only when truly needed.

Soon, the animals followed him not out of fear—
but respect.

Moral:

Power may frighten, but wisdom sustains leadership.
